THE PROTECTION QUESTION

What happens after a threat gets inside?

Prevention, detection, training, communication, and professional response remain essential. Leaders may still identify a particular interior space where people need a further physical separation layer. The Shield is being developed for that problem, evaluated within a broader site-specific plan.

Its intended role does not replace existing safety measures or a qualified review of the building, egress, installation, and operating conditions.

Fortivus is defining engineering requirements, configuration control, verification plans, human factors, site conditions, and evidence for responsible decisions. Vendor sourcing, fabrication, installation, and actual pilots remain held under current controls.

Fortivus welcomes expressions of interest from qualified engineering and testing professionals, materials and human-factors specialists, public-safety professionals, facility leaders, and potential institutional validators or future pilot candidates. A conversation can clarify experience, the questions worth testing, and a future decision process.

Testing, evaluation, fabrication, installation, or pilot participation will occur only after appropriate engineering release, protocols, site review, legal and insurance requirements, and formal Fortivus approval. This invitation does not initiate vendor sourcing or authorize technical work under the current hold.

No complete-system certification or ballistic performance claim is currently released.

Will it be approved for our building?

Any future code, egress, structural, and installation review is site- and configuration-specific. No universal approval is claimed.
